Boligstiftelsen i Trondheim takes privacy seriously and will always process personal data within the framework of applicable laws and regulations.
The purpose of this statement is to explain when and why we collect information about you, how the information is used, and your rights in connection with the collection and storage of personal data. The privacy statement ensures that personal data is processed in accordance with current regulations.
What information is registered about you?
When you apply for housing with Boligstiftelsen i Trondheim, we register your name, residential address, email address, and phone number. In addition, household members included in the application and their ages may be registered. Any other information you provide when applying for housing may also be stored.
When you are allocated an apartment, your national ID number will also be registered. Any complaints or other relevant correspondence during the tenancy period will likewise be recorded and stored.
Personal data is collected directly from you when you apply for housing or sign a tenancy agreement, by entering your personal details into the application form and/or contract. When necessary, Boligstiftelsen i Trondheim may also collect and register personal data from the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret).

Boligstiftelsen i Trondheim is the data controller for the processing of your personal data.

The Housing Foundation may also process personal data when necessary to fulfill a legal obligation, to perform a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
Storage of Personal Data
Personal data is stored electronically in the Housing Foundation’s data systems and will remain stored and processed as long as there is valid consent or another lawful basis for processing.
Applications are stored for 9 months. If you wish for us to keep your application longer, you must contact us to request an extension or submit a new application.
If you are allocated housing, your data will be stored for as long as you have a tenancy agreement with us.
Purpose of Processing
The purpose of processing personal data from applicants and tenants is to provide housing to individuals who fall within the foundation’s statutes.
We request your personal data in order to respond to inquiries, process housing applications, contact applicants and tenants, send information that may be relevant to you, and use the information as a reference for future tenancy agreements.
